Leagues Update/FAAB Period Moved To Monday

Post by Tom Kessenich » Fri Mar 25, 2005 7:46 am

Hey everyone, just an update on where things are at in terms of STATS entering the leagues. They are putting the finishing touches on most of the leagues and will start rolling them out soon. We hope to have all of the leagues entered by the end of the business day today.

Because of that we are going to move the start of the first week's FAAB period to Monday at 5 p.m. Central time instead of starting it on Sunday. This will enable you guys to use the whole weekend as well as Monday to give your rosters a very thorough check to see if there are any corrections that need to be made. Given the large number of leagues we don't want to start the FAAB bidding until we know every team's roster is 100 percent accurate -- otherwise we could have people bidding on players who aren't eligible and so forth.

I understand we said the FAAB period would begin on Sunday but I hope you guys all understand the need to just give everything a little extra time to make sure every league is accurate and ready to go. The good news is everyone will still have 6 days to make FAAB bids which should be more than enough time if you want to pick up some free agents next week.

If you have any questions you can post them here or give me a call or send me an e-mail. Thanks for your patience with all of us. We're gonna get this thing rolling very very soon. I promise.

Tom,

Does having all the leagues entered by COB today, mean that they should be viewable by us at that time?

Or is that something done internal to Stats and then we see our teams a few hours later?

They will be viewable to you guys. At that point we want you to give them a very thorough check to make sure there aren't any mistakes. If there are, just send me an e-mail ([email protected]) letting me what changes should be made.
