People starting him this week?

Sounds like he's out again tonight.

He is a key cog for me. It is frustrating. Not sure what to do yet. Gut says he will play at least two this period. Not enough though.
Not sure how much I would bend over backwards to find PT for a 28 year old with a lifetime .217 BA/,293 OBP. But if that's what you're inclined to do, the easy answer is to stop playing Juan Rivera's rotted corpse at DH. He's had 1 solid year since 2006.

Around the horn: Arencibia, Lind, Hill, Escobar, Encarcion, Bautista, Davis, Patterson, Nix.

Hmmm

Lind (back) will take batting practice, field grounders and throw Monday afternoon with the hope of returning as the DH for Tuesday's game, John Lott of the National Post reports.

Spin: It's been slow improvement thus far, so we'd be hesitant about activating Lind until his name appears in the lineup again. For those making a weekly lineup decision Monday, keep in mind that he's getting at least one more day off before returning.

why risk taking zeros if you have a capable replacement?

As long as Encarnacion is in the line up tonight I will play him. If he's not for whatever reason i'll roll the dice with Lind.

Encarancion is batting cleanup. I expect he will often have a man on base when he gets up.

Anyone know Rasmus' prognosis for playing the rest of the week?

I am with you on Ency too. That bum is a key cog also and he is not getting it done. He needs to soon or he will be a playing time victim.

as long as davis is hitting, moreland PT at risk. will get even worse once cruz and hamilton get back. i mean if moreland can't get in the lineup vs a RP when cruz, hamilton and borboner are on the DL, not sure how much room there is for optimism.

Just one decision left. Sit one - Masterson at the White Sox, Lilly at the White Sox, Hellickson at Toronto, Floyd v the Dodgers.
they are all pretty good. go the george costanza method. do the opposite of what u think. figure out your best option and stick him on the bench.
The White Sox tend to hit better at home (I have no numbers to back that up) and have been playing better of late. I sit one of the pitchers in Chicago.

thanks for the input..

Mitch Moreland has general soreness in his left leg, but says he is fine.

I guess this has something to do with it thanks eagle.. this just popped up on rotoworld...

Rangers president Nolan Ryan said Monday that Mitch Moreland is dealing with a tight hamstring.

That explains why Moreland wasn't in the lineup Sunday against right-hander Ervin Santana. It doesn't sound like a serious injury, but Chris Davis will start at first base Monday while Craig Gentry plays center and Endy Chavez starts in right. Consider Moreland day-to-day right now.
