My last win came on May 29th. I have had four starts this week, three were excellent. No wins. Collectively my starters so far for the week have a combined 2.025 ERA to go with a 1.087 WHIP. No wins...

Also, is anyone else getting ready to be without Roy Oswalt for a while? In his five starts since coming off the DL, he has thrown less than six innings on average (29.0 IP in the five starts), with only 12 K's (a 41% K-Rate) and 38 hits. He is far from healthy.

team 1 619.1 3.531 30 1.240 531 45

team 2 634.0 3.733 51 1.306 528 28

one team has kershaw, marcum, the other has lester and gallardo, they both had de la rosa

the never ending search for wins,it seems like if my pitcher gives up 4 or 5 he gets the win,but if he gives 1 or 2 the bullpen will definitely blow it for him

I had three starters going last night who combined for three runs in 20.2 IP. I got one win from Marcum, Ubaldo and Humber despite all three guys pitching great.

This is definitely the year of the No Decision.

Another good start, this time from Shields, which deserves a win, but didn't get one. The drought continues.

I got my first June win from one of my starters...it only too my 18th start to get it. And the winner is....John Lannan? Not Oswalt, Shields, Marcum or Santana...John Freakin Lannin.

Screw you, Jobu, I do it myself!

In his five starts since coming off the DL, he has thrown less than six innings on average (29.0 IP in the five starts), with only 12 K's (a 41% K-Rate) and 38 hits. He is far from healthy. Like every other Oswalt owner, I have had concerns. Then reported on June 19th:

"The Phillies and Roy Oswalt himself insist that the right-hander is healthy despite a string of so-so outings. Oswalt thinks he's "thrown the ball pretty well" despite a fastball that's clearly not at the level we're used to seeing from him. Manager Charlie Manuel is confident Oswalt will turn things around soon. "He'll come out pretty soon, and his fastball will be back where it was," Manuel said. "There comes a time when the fastball, all of it isn't there sometimes. It's how your arm feels and how you're throwing. It's like a hitter not hitting. It's just a matter of time until you see his fastball jump up. There's nothing wrong with him. I think it'll come."

Then after last night:

"Shortly after exiting Thursday's game early with lower back tightness, Roy Oswalt acknowledged that the chronic ailment could end his career at some point. Oswalt said he has continued pitching despite the discomfort because "I don’t want to be labeled a quitter." Additionally, he realized during Thursday's game that he "was not helping the team. I'm kind of a liability more than anything." The veteran starter isn't sure whether another cortisone injection will help, but also suggested that he would get fixed whatever needs fixing. With an MRI coming Monday, Oswalt will have time to consider his options before learning the results. Until then, it sounds like every conceivable scenario is on the table. "

And:

"Phillies right-hander Roy Oswalt had to be lifted from his Thursday evening start against the Cardinals due to renewed tightness in his lower back. He allowed four runs in two innings of work and admitted after the game that he's been having trouble "walking" and even "sleeping" due to the back discomfort that has plagued him since early May. It seems likely that he will be placed on the 15-day disabled list after undergoing an MRI scheduled for Monday. The Phillies have already scratched him from his next listed start."

How do you go from thinking he's "thrown the ball pretty well" and Charlie Manuel saying "There's nothing wrong with him" when he has had trouble for a month walking and sleeping? These guys are honor graduates of the JP Riccardi School of Ethics and Integrity. Bastards.
