Anyone have a nominee for best post of the offseason?

Mine goes to the guy who suggested we have all 300 participants get together for a rock, paper, scissors tournament to select the draft order after someone else was arguing for some kind of complicated lottery.

Okay, since nobody else has one...how about that guy who posted right before the draft, saying, "Okay, folks, it's just about here. So pack up the D&D and get out of your parents basement; it's time to go to Vegas and draft." Something like that. I loved that one. We should be saving these gems somewhere.

bjoak, I like you man. You are a little out there... in good old Cali. I am moving to Marina Delrey next year. I'm from PA originally. At first you miss the seasons and go through some culture shock (drivers actually respect crosswalks here; I almost got killed when I went home for X-mas), but then you sort of go, 'You know, back in PA it was overcast in June and overcast in July but once it hit August, well, yeah, it was still overcast. The sun is out all summer here. I live across the street from the beach  , which doesn't give me any extra excuses to be on this message board all the time.

Okay, I found this one. Congrats to Walter Sobczac:

Hot from Rotowire:

Walter and co-owner will be delivering a beatdown of biblical proportions in the NFBC this year so everybody else might as well tighten their velcro shoes, grab an extra case of Jolt cola, cancel their 13 hour D&D campaign in mom's basement, and email your online "supermodel" girlfriend (that you obsessively lie to about your looks/job/car/home) that you wont be able to chat with her from 8:30 pm until 4:15 every morning.

So good luck to everybody winning whats left in our wake. Remember second place is FIRST loser!

Oh yeah, hold my trophy while I kiss your girlfriend!

Nice, I am moving into the Marina City Towers, just a short stroll to Venice Beach, and a short bike ride to Santa Monica Pier. Looks like I will have to draft in Vegas next year. Damn it!

The search option really helps to find these. Here's this one. Congrats to Seefer:

I've always been a big fan of rock/paper/scissors. Maybe we can have all 300 or so owners (plus the auctions, can't forget those) drive up to Brett Favre country and have a live rock/paper/scissors tournament.

We could do it round robin so every owner would get a fair shake against the other 299. If there were any ties, well than we could do the old "I'm holding a number behind my back trick". If we still had ties after that, well then it would have to be swords.

Incidentally, the award for best topic goes to Walla Walla for the "Let me take this time to talk to you about AMWAY" topic.

Lot of unfulfilled promise there. I thought it'd be maybe a spoof of your typical "Felix Rodriguez is the greatest prospect in the history of baseball" post.

I for one love the fact it is opening round of ncaa tourney. Being that weekend, it also allows some of us to meet with others for the long weekend in vegas who have little interest in fantasy baseball. It also creates more teams as I sponsored one for a pal and and one of the other two I meet played for the hell of it. Nothing wrong with a little dead money right.

I'll give a nickel to anyone who can follow and explain anything that this post says after the first sentence.

Chris meets old friends in Vegas who are going for the NCAA tourney. He likes it that weekend because they are there and he can hang out with them. In fact, he also tossed in the cash for a friend of his to draft a team who doesn't know much about fantasy baseball and one of his other friends bought a team just to hang out. He feels both of these friends have zero chance to win and are dead money, donating to the rest of us - but it was fun for him and his friends to share the event and the NCAA weekend.
