Posey and Mauer - Draft results (Main)

In my three 15 team snake drafts I started with Mauer once and Posey twice and wondered how the other teams that draft these Catchers early were doing.
The Average Main Event team that draft Buster is in 9th place with 72 points. The Average Main team that drafted Mauer is also in 9th place with 71 points.
Four teams that drafted Posey are currently in the money with two seconds and two thirds. Only 5 teams that drafted Posey are in the top five spots in their leagues.
Of the Mauer drafters three are in the money - one second and two thirds and five in the top 5.
New York Three has both teams in their top five. The Townies who took Posey are third with 96.5 points and the Rubberneck with Mauer are in 5th with 85 points.
In the 26 Main Event leagues last place belongs to four Mauer drafted teams and another four drafted Posey. That is just over 30% of the leagues have their last place team taking a catcher early.
Two leagues have the bottom two teams drafting one of these catchers. In both cases the Mauer drafted team is ahead of the Posey team.
Mauer drafted teams are ahead of Posey drafted teams in 14 of the 26 leagues, or 54%.
I was surprised that no one doubled down and took both. :rolleyes:
The two second place teams with Posey drafted:
Merchants of Kaos (Online 1 weekend 2) took Posey with 12th pick in round 2. They picked up Synder for $117 when he went down and have also used Paulino and now Ross. Their other catcher is Santana. The Merchants of Kaos are in second 6 points back and have 59 hitting points as part of 108.5 total. They are 36th overall.
The Strained Obliques (LV1 weekend 2) also have second place with 108.5 points, with 52.5 in hitting. They also have used Synder and Paulino. They picked up Torrealba for $36 when Posey went down. They are 13 points out of first and in 64th overall.
The second place team with Mauer drafted is john rocker's revenge in Online 2 from weekend 1. They have 107 points and are 12 back. Most of their points come from pitching as they have 48.5 in hitting and 58.5 in pitching. They draft Napoli in the 9th round as their number 2 catcher. They are 74th overall.
Joe Anthony in AC1 had the best team name for summing it up "Poorly Played, Mauer."
