Not sure if the guy can tear up the weak hitting central like he did Spring Training, but my guess is he'll manage to be an efficient hitter.
Did he get drafted in each league? I started watching him in about the 25th round in my draft but had to fill in with other places since I got so many OF early.
.423 with a .731 slugging percentage... toss in 5 HR and 19 RBI... 13 runs and even 2 stolen bases.
All that in 52 at bats? Give the man 500 at bats and he's got a solid 65 run, 25 hr, 100 rbi, 10 stolen base season. Maybe a .280 average?
Bid prediction: $63 to win him.
I suppose when KC falls out of contention they could trade him - Colorado is always in the market for good hitting OF and with their injuries who knows? Can't even imagine his stats in Coors ...
Happy bidding,
Dyv

I think you'd need to go higher than $63 IMO.

lol - I'll see what I can do to get them listed as 'stocks to buy right now' in Money Magazine - that's a guaranteed 5% boost for no reason

I heard Emil Brown in little league hit one over the light tower in centerfield at his local park.
The guy could be a natural.

KC only signed E.Brown because they didnt know what to do with all the Dee Brown uniforms that he accumulated over the years. It was just cheaper for them to sign another Brown.

That must be it, that and UPS just signed on as a sponsor. "What can Brown do for you"?

I'm guessing the high this week for Brown will be $350, the low $121, and the avg $166.

And the story continues...
Emil Brown has made three consecutive starts, the last two against right-handed pitchers.
''He's got a nice, short swing. We think we really might have something here,'' GM Allard Baird said. The Royals, in fact, believe Brown could be on the verge of a Raul Ibanez-like breakthrough. They thought about claiming Mike Restovich off waivers recently, but opted not to because of their feelings on Brown.

I'd say a bid of $190 is fair.

No one picked him up in our league (NY2).
