2012 NFBC Diamond League IS NOW FULL!!

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Oct 26, 2011 3:16 am

I know that we're not officially taking signups yet for any NFBC leagues in 2012, but I did reach out to last year's NFBC Diamond League owners this week to give them first dibs on returning to this private league. These 15 owners built this league in 2010 and so they get first crack at securing spots for 2012. All they have to do is respond to me via email by Nov. 30th and their spot will be secure. No payment is needed for this league until early March.

The email invitation went out on Monday night and already we have seven spots secured. That leaves us with EIGHT SPOTS LEFT!!! Nice job all. The draft will be held on Sunday, April 1st at the Bellagio in Las Vegas at 10 am PT. It should be a lot of fun.

Here's a look at the current signup list. To secure a spot just email me at [email protected]. If you didn't compete in this league last year and would like to compete in 2012 just shoot me an email. I know of at least 1-2 owners who won't be back in 2012, so spots are definitely available. An email will get you on the invitation list. Thanks all.

4 SPOTS LEFT For 2012 NFBC Diamond League

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Oct 26, 2011 7:29 am

We now have ONLY 7 SPOTS LEFT in the NFBC Diamond League as Kevin Kirves of Lexington, Kentucky will take one of the open spots. Kevin won the NFBC Ultimate Auction League last year and that $40,000 grand prize, which he just received this week. He was paid in full by us, but unfortunately he wasn't paid yet in another contest where he won the overall grand prize. Sorry to hear that Kevin, but stick with us and you'll be fine...as long as you keep winning! :D Welcome aboard.

Great start to the 2012 season everyone. This should be fun.

4 SPOTS LEFT For 2012 NFBC Diamond League

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Oct 27, 2011 12:14 pm

We now have ONLY 6 SPOTS LEFT in the NFBC Diamond League as defending champion Jim Ferrari of San Diego, California is back. Jim needs a tax writeoff after winning the Diamond League and placing in the NFBC Ultimate Auction League. GREAT JOB Jim and congrats on the $75,000 first place prize in this league. That's almost like winning the Main Event (except for the entry fee!!!!). Glad to have you back.

We're closing in on a full league already. All of last year's participants have until Nov. 30th to secure a spot, so thanks all. Stay in touch and good luck all.

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Nov 01, 2011 9:22 am

I'm glad to announce that we now have ONLY 5 SPOTS LEFT for the 3rd annual NFBC Diamond League. Rob Silver of Toronto, Ontario is returning for a third straight season, giving us 10 members back in 2012. This event will take place on Sunday, April 1st at 10 am PST at the Bellagio Las Vegas. Great stuff. We'll give the remaining 5 owners until Nov. 30th to secure their spot and then after that we'll open it up to all members. Thanks all.

The list of Diamond League members has been updated in the first post of this thread.

Just a heads up that we now have ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT for the NFBC Diamond League as Chad Schroeder of Omaha, Nebraska is securing a spot in this April 1st event in Las Vegas. This is the only Diamond League we'll be offering this year, so if you still have interest in this contest let me know via email and I'll secure your spot. First place is worth $75,000 within the league and we pay down four spots with fourth place earning back their $10,000 entry fee. This is always a lot of fun and a great, great league with some of the best owners in our contest.

Thanks all.

Thanks Greg, Rick, I can't wait to finally meet you guys as well. Tom and the New York gang are a great bunch of guys to hang out with and draft against. It's time however for me to meet other great guys who I feel like I know already from these boards but have yet to meet in person. I really look forward to it. Plus with Jupinka & Particelli also signed up, there'll be other familiar NY faces to make it feel like home. :)

I also can't wait to take part in the premier single league live fantasy baseball draft around. I've had my eye on this league since its creation two years ago. Unfortunately you Vegas boys have kept all the fun to yourselves. :)
It's taken me a couple seasons, but I'm finally in and it's a rush just knowing I'll be a part of it.

I haven't been to Vegas since my son was born four years ago. I miss it. I can not wait.

Just a heads up that we have more interest in the NFBC Diamond League this year than we have spots in one league. So right now we are keeping a list of owners who are willing to be on standby and if somehow we were able to get a second Diamond League, well, okay, we'd run it. ;) Thanks all. Here's the current signup list. If you have any interest in also being on standby for the Diamond League, just email me at [email protected]. Thanks:

We're going to make these 15 Diamond League owners stars in the fantasy baseball world, folks. I can't reveal the plans yet, but you're all going to be stars!! ;)

We're trying to cook up some good things for all of our live events. A lot of things happening behind the scenes. STAY TUNED, but lots of fun ideas right now. I'm lovin' it and I know all of you will, too.

Just a heads up to all NFBC Diamond League owners: I am sending an email to the group now and would love to have an email response back to me by this weekend if you can. I need your feedback on something important and hope to move forward on these plans early next week if everyone approves. Thanks for your attention on this. Look for the email soon.
