Closer chasing is an entertaining spectator sport...and a horrible waste of FAAB for all those who partake.

...and Bottalico....and what's the deal with Kolb back in the closer role? Some people must be cursing right now. AND (something that affects me) McKeom says Mota will have to share the role with Jones. This year is just bizarre!

Next year no one will be drafting closers early!

Oh yes people will be drafting closers early next year...it is a disease...just like fatty snacks and marriage...you know what the risks are but you just keep going back!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Time for a poll, what's the more satisfying evening ..

1) a movie on the couch with the mrs/gf

2) eating a LARGE bag of doritos

3) two 1-2-3 innings by your closers and 2 saves

4) In a dorito crumb filled bed with the mistress and the baseball game on the radio.

You don't need to have won something to have an opinion that is fairly legitimate.

Come on now, Baltic is sharp, like sandpaper. His tremendous team is in freefall so he has to insult some other owners to keep himself involved.

I have no problem answering the 'squid.

I have played various fantasy baseball formats (points, draft, auction) within various levels of league expertise (frat-boy to sports/news media to baseball fanatic leagues) for 20 years. I have been a commissioner and player. I have gone from first to worst and worst to first. I have finished in the middle as well. I have been in the league money about 75% of the time (I am guessing there) and I have won leagues about 25% of the time.

None of my posts are ever presented as if I have all (any?) of the answers, only my view. I usually try to toss a little humor even when I do forward an opinion. I sincerely hope you are ok with that, but if not, then truly it is your problem. Good luck!

BALTIC you have to admit you were way off PW TEAM. He's kicking ass in new york league 7.AS of now he's in first with a lot of upside. His pitching was better than you thought, i did like his pitching. HE'S DOING this with no help from SCHIMDT.It's to bad their was no side bet, especially the way you guys go at it. We still have a long way to go , and the bad [ass] ANGELS ARE READY TO MAKE A MOVE. GOOD LUCK BOYS

I've never won a fantasy league, Baltic. I was hoping to finally win this year, but everyone keeps snapping up all the great closers from the FA wire. One of these days I hope to win, and I know you'll be cheering me on...
