Ok, this board is losing some of its activity & luster. My guess is that the football board is more active. I can't make this board more active but I can possibly use it for some article fodder. My latest in CREATiVESPORTS goes into the NFBC drafting philosophy and my own league of NY7. It may even be worthy of reading. See the link below.

But for now I am curious which of these two scenarios make you feel better.

1) You starting pitcher goes 8 innings allowing 1 runs and only 8 baserunners while fanning 6. The problem is he gets a no decision. Your ERA is 1.125. Your Whip is 1.000. But alas, no win.

2) You starting pitcher got torched for 4 runs in 5 innings. He allows 9 baserunners and only fans 3 BUT he gets that big win. [see Jon Lieber's line today]

Question: which do you prefer at this point of the season?

I prefer the good pitching-no win scenario for two reasons.

1) It contributes to three categories, especially qualitatives which will be more difficult to change later in the year

and much more importantly

2) Gives me a chance to complain that luck is against me in spite of my baseball acumen which selected this clearly unfortunate, yet superior pitcher. If only things would go my way for once (wipes away a tear), I could contend.
