Thanks to everyone who signed up for the debut NFBC Mid-Season $1,000 League. We have two $1,000 leagues and will host these on Monday, July 11th. Below is the draft order of the two leagues and STATS will send out a special URL to each owner for this online draft. Please make sure you click on the "Launch Java Draft" as you'll want to use that applet to draft on Monday. Within that applet, you'll be able to sort by position and by team to find players more easily. You can also pre-sort players there before the draft or que up players who may be sleepers for the second half. Anyway, look for that invitation soon as your mid-season league will be easily accessible within your "My Teams" area.
Okay, now onto the leagues. Here is the draft order for each league, with both starting at 6 p.m. EST on Monday, July 11th:

Everyone should now have a new link under their My Teams area that says Mid-Season League. I will e-mail exact directions on how you can load the Java Applet Software and pre-rank the positions beforehand to everyone soon. I don't see the Java Applet link yet, so I'll work with STATS to make that very visible to everyone when they first log into their teams.
Also, since we'll have two $1,000 drafts scheduled for 6 p.m. EST on Monday, let's make sure everyone is in the draft room on time. We'll get the first $1,000 league started right at 6 p.m. EST and once that one is off and running, we'll start League 2 shortly after that. So it's possible we'll get these going at 6:00 and 6:10, so just be patient. STATS will be monitoring the start of both leagues and will just want to make sure nobody is having any trouble in the first draft before we start the second one. Thanks guys.

Draft Spots For $1,000 NFBC Mid-Season Leagues
Here's one more rules clarification for the Mid-Season Leagues that everyone should be aware of. In the NFBC's main event, we allowed you to draft any player from any team, even if they weren't on the 40-man roster. However, in the mid-season league, only players that are in the data base are eligible to be drafted. The list we have are current lists of MLB teams' 40-man roster and some teams actually have less than 40 men on those rosters. You can not draft a Class A guy and ask someone to write in that pick. If he's not in the data base for whatever reason, he can't be picked in the Mid-Season League.
I know that there are some young prospects you'd like to draft and store away until the September callups, but if they're not in the data base then they can't be drafted. Sorry, but we are officially licensed with the MLB and through STATS and only players on 40-man rosters at this time are in the data base and thus eligible to be drafted in this mid-season league.

Gee--- It looks like Greg wasn't sure which "Will" sent him the case of beer, so he had to give all 3 "Will's" the top 3 picks... Nice...

OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Pete Good one Pete as I didn't even notice that. But as I've always said: Blame or thank Tom Kessenich for your draft spot because I just hold the hat and let him pick 'em. I want no part of picking the draft spots, even for our KP leagues.
