Draft Spots For $500 NFBC Mid-Season League

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Jul 08, 2005 3:18 am

Okay, we have officially filled the Tuesday, July 12th $500 NFBC Mid-Season League, which starts at 6 p.m. EST. We have cancelled the $500 Wednesday league, but this one is good to go. Every owner will see a new link under their My Teams section for this league and I'll forward instructions to all of you soon to show you how you can load the Java Software Applet for Draft Day and how you can pre-rank players if you want to do so. Look for all of this via e-mail and on the Message Boards soon.

Anyway, good luck to all 15 owners in the hunt for the $4,000 league prize. Here's the draft order and remember that this is a 30-round serpentine draft and you do not have to fill out your 23 starting spots with the first 23 picks. Have fun and good luck.

Draft Spots For $500 NFBC Mid-Season League

Here's one more rules clarification for the Mid-Season Leagues that everyone should be aware of. In the NFBC's main event, we allowed you to draft any player from any team, even if they weren't on the 40-man roster. However, in the mid-season league, only players that are in the data base are eligible to be drafted. The list we have are current lists of MLB teams' 40-man roster and some teams actually have less than 40 men on those rosters. You can not draft a Class A guy and ask someone to write in that pick. If he's not in the data base for whatever reason, he can't be picked in the Mid-Season League.

I know that there are some young prospects you'd like to draft and store away until the September callups, but if they're not in the data base then they can't be drafted. Sorry, but we are officially licensed with the MLB and through STATS and only players on 40-man rosters at this time are in the data base and thus eligible to be drafted in this mid-season league.
