This is my last topic on the NFBC Mid-Season Leagues and then I'm done. My goal, however, is to make sure everyone has access to the site and a chance to pre-rank their players if needed. Here's the latest info:
1) Everyone who is signed up for any mid-season league should have their new teams available when they log in. They are under your My Teams link and are designated as NFBC Second Half 2005.
2) As soon as you click on your team, you'll go to a page where there is a red link called "The Draft Room Is Open." You can click on that and you'll see the mid-season draft like we had for the test league.
3) Click on "Launch Draft" and you'll have the Java Applet Software needed to draft your team. You can draft without that and just use the HTML draft area, but the Java applet is faster and is quicker when you want to search for players.
4) If you want to pre-rank players at positions or overall, click on the Draft link at the top and pull down the Draft Prep link. If you click on that you'll see the overall list ranked in order of their 2005 performance to date. You can change that ranking any way you'd like and then have the players you want to draft in the order you want.
5) If you need any help at all, don't post messages on the Message Boards. Instead, just click on the "Help" link at the top (far right) and pull down the Contact Us link. That e-mail will go directly to a STATS official, who will be monitoring the drafts beforehand and during the draft.
6) Again, only players who are within our data base are eligible to be drafted for this mid-season league. Within the Draft Room, you can search for a player by name. Obviously, if he doesn't come up he's not available. During the draft, you can sort by teams and by positions. There isn't an alphabetical search function within the Java Applet, unfortunately, which is why I recommend pre-loading your picks ahead of time.
I hope this helps. If you have questions on Monday, e-mail STATS at [email protected] or contact Tom Kessenich at 715-445-4612, ext. 653 or at [email protected]. I'll be out of town most of Monday, so reach out to Tom if possible.
Thanks and good luck everyone. This should be fun.
