Who will be in New York?

Post by viper » Thu Mar 11, 2004 8:22 am

We have all seen each others posting but, for the most part, I'm not sure where everyone will be drafting.

I will be in New York and wondered which other posters/lurkers will be there.

Viper - I'll be in NYC for the AL Auction on Friday and the Draft on Saturday. "Playing two" and probably so worn out from the auction that I'll be Dead Money on Saturday. See you there.

Pete
OK - So I'm not as good as I thought I was; but at least I am consistent.

Viper, I'm taking the long trip from Queens to the Javits Center. Top Dawg, I'll see you at both events--I guess you're missing Rick Cerone, too.

It should be a very entertaining weekend.

I'm taking the train up Friday and will be at the Javits around 3. My partner in crime will be there about then too.

Harlem - FYI, I'm from Central Jersey too (Monmouth County). Lets make sure the big check goes to a Jersey team!

Love that name Goggles-from the Flintstones episode! I'll also be in NY, for both the AL Auction and the NFBC draft.

Whether I draft in Vegas or NY, I’ll have a couple teams of interest. They will be waiting and watching for miscues/nervousness from owners. What specifically will we be looking for? Here’s a partial list:

beads of sweat on forehead

panicked look on face

rustling through many papers/magazines

announcing player selected in a feeble voice

depressed look on face

asking what position a selected player is eligible at

asking what MLB team a selected player is on

We will be watching. Don’t think your miscues will go unnoticed. Cheers!

Actually in your SNAKE draft leagues you can have all 6 and still win by a landslide
