NL Only Auction (NYC)

Post by highheat » Mon Mar 01, 2004 7:03 am

hi greg, im trying to decide between the standard contest league and a NL only auction league drafting in NYC. do you think there is enough support for a NL only auction draft in NY. where do the current numbers stand if you don't mind?

if it looks like it may not happen or may need to be consolidated, i may just sign up for the combined grand prize.

great job keeping us informed!!

I think the New York NL Auction League will be tough as we have two for the NL right now and six for the AL. We're still working hard to get them filled, but it might be tough. Feel free to call me at 715-445-4612, ext. 284 anytime if you need more info. Thanks for considering us and let's make it work one way or another.

Just so everyone knows, I added the Auction Leagues not to make additional money but to give every Rotisserie baseball die-hard a chance to play the game of their choice. I know there are some veterans who like the one-league auction more than the straight mixed league draft and I expected leagues in each city to be filled. But I also understand the lure of the $100,000 grand prize, so if we don't get as many Auction Leagues as I'd like this first year that's no problem. We'll just fill what we have, make it fun for everyone who signs up and promote it a little more next year.

We do have those Pete Rose autographed photos yet and I'd be glad to send one your way. I'll even gladly throw your name in the hat and give you a 1-in-5 chance of winning $100. Thanks for the interest and best of luck if you enter.
