The NFBC site only shows the first couple of digits in the "quality" categories (ERA, WHIP & AVE). In fact, these three categories are calculated for as many decimal digits as possbile. An average of .282334 is better than an average of .282104 even though both would show up as .282. Yahoo is about the only site I know that actually gives ties is this occurs. I think Yahoo is wrong doing this but it is their perrogative. ESPN runs decimal digits out as far as necessary. So does the STATS site that the NFBC uses.

Thanks. Just so I'm sure. STATS is calculating out as far as necessary to break ties but our site is only capable of showing three decimal places? If this is so, when did this change occur? At the outset I believe they were only going out three places and then allocating points. I have been away and don't see any e-mails informing us of the change. Mind you, I think it a good idea to go out as far as necessary but would like Greg to set it straight in a post. Is it three places four places or as far as needed?

To Greg: See above and, is there any chance that STATS could show stats out to 4 places? it's a small thing but would make things a clearer. You have to admit it's just a little disconcerting to see 6 teams with the same whip but yours gets 5 pts less than the others.

I will ask STATS on this to be sure, but I know we are calculating this out as far as possible to make sure the correct amount of points in each category are awarded. I'll see if we can show one more digit out for you if that helps.
