Satellite FAAB

Post by KJ Duke » Mon Mar 27, 2006 9:54 am

There was a post from Tom, that seems to have been deleted (?) or I don't know where its posted, that said bidding would not run until next week for ALL leagues, so I did not bid in any of my satellite leagues.

That's incorrect Kevin. FAAB bidding has already begun for all of our leagues. The first deadline for the satellite leagues was yesterday (March 26th). The first deadline for the NFBC events is Sunday April 2nd.

Sorry for any confusion.

Sorry for any confusion. This was my understanding as well. It was confirmed both before and after the main event.

Sorry for any confusion. these were the posts, someone forwarded them (thx).

The auction leagues are the same as the main event leagues. FAAB bidding will begin on Sunday April 2 for all of those leagues.

Glad I could be of help.

And FAAB bidding does not begin until Sunday April 2. So you'll have to wait just a little bit longer.

Nope, I spoke incorrectly. The bidding opens next week and ends on April 2. The players will then be eligible on April 3. Sorry for any confusion.

CONFUSING. This made it sound as if there would be no bidding until next week. I guess Greg posted otherwise somewhere else, but I didn't see that post. And btw, one of my satellites WAS an auction, Tom's post reads "auction leagues are the same as the main event".

Also, noted that the satellite rules now says March 26, but I didn't see that before and I looked. Either I missed it, or that was edited in at some point after I looked. Either way, more clarity would help. Like on the lge home page or in the FAAB section on the site, no mention of it in either of those place which would be most logical.

I concur with Kevin. It was a bit confusing and I also thought April 2nd was the first day for free agent bidding. I was very dissapointed.

Perhaps emails or even a posting or reminder on each league's webpage would help.

No good.

No good. I have already suggested in another thread that email announcements of major changes or updates of rules/schedules need to be EMAILED out as not every one checks these boards regularly or reads every single post in every thread.

I happened to notice the satellite change in one thread here beforehand so I was expecting the bids for week 0.

I went to make bids in the March 28th Sattilite league. It said waivers don't run this week. How come? It should be the same as all the other leagues. When we drafted i assumed that we would have one waiver before the season???? Just like all the leagues in the NFBC.

If we can't have waiver Sun for the march 28th league. It will be disappionting because I drafted Uggla thinking he was an OF.I had a plan to wait real late to take Uggla as my last OF.Most all the good OF's was gone when I finally pulled him up.I did notice he had 2b by his name, but picking him up 2 days before as an OF had me confused. Now I only have 4 healthy OF's on my team...lol...Maybe I should have drafted more OF's.I'm not mad, just a little disapointed.

You guys at the NFBC do a great job 99.9% of the time.So no matter what happens about waivers i will understand.I would just lke to see them run if possable..

There are still some guys who are having trouble with access to their teams and we are correcting a few minor errors with this league. It wasn't ideal to have transactions so close to these drafts, so I told STATS we wouldn't run FAAB this week. The first week of FAAB for both satellite leagues that were run this week will be Sunday, April 9th. Good luck everyone.
