Common sense would tell you once you took out the DL'd player, you couldn't replace a heathy player in your line-up. You put in a player that wasn't hurt. How then could you take that player out? It seems pretty straight forward. I would guess the player was Hermida.

I had Newhan, Matos and Marrero.
Newhan broke his leg, I went in on Wednesday not knowing if I would remember this Friday thing and put in Matos for the weekend...Now Matos goes on the DL but he never has the DL next to his name...
Marrero has a homer on Friday night. Piece of **** .

This issue was discussed on the boards the very first weekend of the season. The answer was that you may move a DLed player out of your lineup until roughly anytime prior to the first game on Friday. Once in your lineup, he can only be moved out if he too is DLed. By making a Tuesday move, you no longer have a DLed played you can move.
The best suggestion I can make is to wait as long as you can to make your move. In your case, it seems you could have actually made the move later because you tried to and failed. In my case, I only had one option to replace Lugo so I did it early.

If not then the poster is correct to complain. This needs to be stated in the rules and if it is added to the rules after they were intially posted then it should be emailed out to all owners.
I've said similar in other posts - The NFBC has to take care to make sure the playing field is even for all participants. Especially since a lot of us don't have time to come to the message boards here and dig for rule changes/discussions.

From official rule 13:
"However, owners are also allowed to remove a player (or players) who is officially on the DL from their starting lineup with one of their players from their reserve roster before each Friday's first game as long as the position eligibility works out. Players must officially be on the DL list according to STATS for this move (or moves) to take effect for the weekend games"
I read this as sometime/anytime up until the first game on Friday he can be moved out. I don't read that you can move him out and then replace the newly assigned starter later but we all read things differently. Clarification would be helpful but there are other bigger issues with this DL process in my opinion - see my post on DL clarification needed

In order to change out Hermida, you had to switch to the line up days to 4/21-4/23. So yes, he was still in your line up from 4/17-4/20, but when it got to Friday... Hermida was on your bench because you move him out already. By doing the move early, you locked yourself out. The Dl'd player was now showing on your bench on Friday.

On the boards? This is exactly why I am complaining. On these boards doesn't do anything for the 200 of us who DO NOT get on here. A simple email clarifying everything would have been nice. [/QUOTE]these boards are filled with many topics. Things that one person feels is "critical" might mean next to nothing to another. Aside from having almost every post that remotely discusses rules and a variety of other playing questions emailed to all 330+ players, I'm not sure how Greg & Tom would filter out the important stuff from the dribble.
Unfortunately following the boards for awhile, at least at the beginning, may be important. Given I have around two grand invested in my teams, I find the time. If the leagues were free with no prize money I probably would not. Somewhere between nothing and $2000 is where I become interested enough to follow.

To make it simple...
You can NEVER switch a non-DL'd player from your "Friday rule" roster.
You CAN switch a DL'd person.
Thus...you need to live with your first move...unless he too is DL's before the Thursday night deadline.

WHY???
Mr Smart Guys says this...
It is post Monday gametime deadline...correct?
Until the following weeks monday dealine comes...our rosters are fixed...unless we are under the DL rule...correct?
Under the DL rule...you may NEVER remove/alter a player NOT on the DL...easy enough for me to understand.
...but then again...I'm Mr. Smart Guy!

Not being a database whiz means I'm shooting in the dark here. But it seems to me that Stats could write a program that would allow reverses to your mid week DL moves. In other words, if you want to correct a move you made, you're allowed to bench the player you activated mid-week, but only that player and ONLY for the DL'd player. When done, you can now make your new move. This would perfect the mid-week DL move rule.

The only way to perfect the mid week DL move would be...
a)...to eliminate it.
b)...to have no restrictions...(ie...if DL'd Mon...replace Tues...if DL'd Sat...replace Sunday.)
