The only way I can replace Cantu on Friday is to juggle the position of another player. The system wont let me do this. Help?

Unless, of course he was in the UTY,3B,MI,or CI then you could use someone else.
But it looks as though you had him at 2nd.
Maybe this is divine retribution for being a lil "mouthy" with the facilitators regarding the draft board.

And God loves a good sense of humor, guess you didn't read into UFS's . You have him in the 2nd base slot, correct? Unless your SS, OF, 1B, P's somehow earned 2B eligibilty, you CANNOT switch him with anyone.

Hi Tom.
Thanks. The system allowed me to move players around and activate someone for Cantu. Tampa League 1.

Please, correct me if I am wrong....If Cantu was in the 2B position, wouldn't he have to be replaced by a 2B player? I thought we weren't able to move players around to compensate for a DL'd player.

As long as you are able to field a legal lineup you can replace a DL player with anyone on your reserve roster. That's why players such as Cantu with multiple position eligibility are so valuable.

Gators move: Cantu to bench...Hall from CI to 2B....and Niekro from bench to CI. Hmmmmm?!

And that is exactly what it was designed to allow. But you need to have bench players to do that. Over time teams will learn they need to have bench strength and not sit on a bunch of SP or rookies.

Essentially, Niekro is the player who replaces Cantu in Gators' active lineup. Because he has Hall, who also has multiple position eligibility, that enabled him to replace Cantu with Niekro. This is a legal move.
