Don't normally do this, but in one of my other leagues, we had an objection raised to a potential trade I am involved in. Not to say which side I am on, but tell me do you think this trade is fair, please.

B. Webb ARI (cannot be saved next year) and C. Wilson NYY ($1 can be saved if he comes back to the NL) for J. Cruz ARI ($10) and R. Durham SF ($9)

This is a $260-budget NL only league (but you can keep accruing player points after they are traded to the AL). Thanks!
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

I'd close the deal soon...Big Ray could be hurt again.....

Wayne, This trade seems fair to me outside from the fact that Webb has an elbow problem now and Durham has a headache. I think team A is downgrading on pitching, but is gambling that J. Cruz will improve and hopefully replace at least the K's. Team A also looks like is trying to improve a middle infield position. Durham has been great for a month. Team B improved his starting rotation with Webb and looks like he is gambling that Wilson will get regular at bats to off set the loss of Durham. I approve the trade no matter which side I had. Good Luck......

CC, thanks for the feed back. You hit the nail on the head. My team was trading for Webb, willing to take the gamble to improve overall pitching (Cruz is good but up and down...Webb is mainly up) and he need MI help. Durham has been golden for me in this league (got him cheap and late), but if SF falls out of it and given his age, I was worried about a September swoon on him, so I really did not have a problem trading him (did some roster juggling and Freddy Sanchez is now my 2B). Wilson will ride the pine.

The team I traded with is with me in 2nd/3rd looking up at the leader, who I think is vunerable. I will let you know how it plays out.
