Tom/Greg

It may have been posted already but, let's face it, I'm a bit lazy.

Can you let us know when the updates have been posted?

Also, starting with any future modifications/additions/deletions could you start a thread with these?

We'll do that. And the updated list has been posted. Click on the "Position Eligibility" link on the right side of the main NFBC page.

The only additions going forward would be for minor leaguers if you have questions about their eligibility.

I want to verify that I understand the rules as applied in previous seasons correctly. I'll use Freddy Guzman as an example. Guzman's position is not listed on the NFBC web site, probably since he only played in 9 games last year. In Guzman's 9 games, he played 4 in the OF. In the remaining 5, he only pinch-hit. My understanding is that Guzman will qualify only at UT until he plays 10 games at a position (assuming he makes the team). Correct?

There are several other players with similar situations.

There are several other players with similar situations. Feel free to put the list of players in question here and I'll gladly rule on them and put them within the eligibility positions. I would have to look up Guzman's situation when I get back in the office, but yes in the situation you described he would start the season as UT-only.

Ok, let's start with Cristian Guzman, the mendoza line SS for the projected 120-loss Nats.

He was out all last season but was/is/will be a SS as long as he has a job. And, much to my personal chagrin, he is back.

I was sure I read somewhere that one of the changes in position eligibility when the link was updated was for Kouzmanoff. I see he is still only a DH. Is this correct?

As for Kouzmanoff, he is UT-only. I'll make sure Tom changes that ASAP.

I'm sorry but I can't tell from that answer if

1. Kouzmanoff is "UT-only" and you'll have Tom change it to show Kouzmanoff as "UT-only"......or

2. that Kouzmanoff's being listed as "UT-only"... is the mistake and you'll have Tom change Kouzmanoff to 3rd base

I don't have the 2005 games played information handy, but what about Josh Phelps of the Yankees?

Kouz is eligible for ut only. He will not be eligable for 3b or anything else until he plays at least 10 games there this year. Don't mean to answer for Greg or Tom, just trying to be helpful.

He was listed correctly on the eligibility list. If I'm missing something there please let me know but his position was correct on the updated list I sent to STATS last week.
