Friday afternoon NYC draft....parking??

How is parking at the Javits center? I am wondering if I should take the train into Grand Central or drive in from Connecticut. Anyone have information on parking, fees, traffic on West Side, etc.?

Parking right at Javits is about 35 to 40 bucks. If you do a google search for NYC discount parking , you can find lots for 20 bucks or less with a 15 minute walk to javits
