GMTS minor leaguers are intuitively placed at a position that you have the most depth in. :D

Let me re-phrase my question....

GREG or TOM,

Why is outfielder Billy Butler listed as a 3B? I'm mired in 869th place and need something to hope for!

in the rules ( on the home page)- it states minor leagues will be eligible at the position they played the most in the minors in 06. butler ( i think) played more 3b than of. i also think he was listed as a 3 basemen for the draft. he is listed as 3b in all leagues

Last year (2006) Billy Butler had 83 AB as a left fielder, 376 AB as a right fielder, and 18 AB as a DH. (per minorleaguesplits.com) Rotoworld also shows him as an OF last year. Hasn't been a 3B since 2004. Would be NICE if Greg would help me out here before I finish dead last in this thing.

Let me check with STATS on this. If he played the majority of his games in the OF last season he should have OF eligibility. I'll check and get back to you guys about this.

Billy Butler played in 119 games for Wichita last year, 115 of them in the outfield and the other 4 as DH. He did not play an inning at 3B.
