Free Agents on 1 page?

Post by Gordon Gekko II » Wed Apr 01, 2009 12:05 am

Greg,

Any word from STATS about listing all of the free agents for a specific position on one page?

In addition, someone else wanted to know if their was a "one-touch" button to export the free agents into Excel.

Thanks!!

Thanks!! Nothing yet. They are busy loading all of the leagues and I trust any enhancements will be done after leagues are loaded. I did send this request and the other one through and hopefully we can get these added shortly. But nothing to report yet.

I have STATS working on so many things right now between baseball and football, but I'll ping them again with this question and see if we can get it on their schedule. I know they said last week that neither request is a simple programming change, but both were doable.

Greg,

Any updates on this one? I know in another thread someone asked about a feature to export to excel. These would both be excellent additions to the website and make our life a heck of a lot easier. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. Both are on the "to do" list, but STATS said neither is an easy fix. Both would take some time to complete. Sorry, but I'll update this when I hear more because both would be helpful to the participants.

Free Agents on 1 page?

Greg - Can we get an update or an ETA on these two.

1. Have free agents for a certain position listed on 1 single page.

2. Have all the free agents "exportable" into Excel.

Both these issues would saves owners HOURS and make for a much enjoyable interface with STATS. Thanks.

We just finished the Live Standings change that Mr. Zaleski requested and that should be fine now. By the end of the week, we should finally have the home page with the Top 20 leaders in the main event and the Online Championship, along with a look at the Top 2 teams in each league. STATS is finishing that up now.

I'll see where this falls and post here.

We have been working on #1 and that is in QA right now. If all goes well, we may have it live tomorrow but worst case would probably be next week.

#2 is still open on our end and we need to do more research on this. It should be safe to say it will be up at some point, but I'm not sure I

can give a firm estimate at this time. More than likely, I think it's something we can have up by June 1 all depending on what types of requests we continue to get for new features.

simply gReAt NeWs!!!! :D  :D Wow, a compliment for STATS. I'll send that to them and they will likely fall over in disbelief. :D I know they take a lot of grief, but they have been very good about improving the site and each year we add something that helps you folks. Nobody said a word this week about the Live Standings improvement, yet they took a beating for quite a bit on here about not making that perfect. This would be another improvement that we threw at them in March and hopefully will have it done in a couple of months.

Thanks for all of the suggestions and trust me they are working hard for us between baseball and football. They have more requests from me than you can imagine.

I'll go on record as saying I like Stats. My ONLY beef is that every season there are a handful of functions/features from year's past that are either disabled or not set up yet. Always a week or two before everything is up and running smoothly.

That said I think they have a great interface and I would hate to see the NFBC stray from their service. Every year they make improvements and additions.

The one page free agent list is going to save hours on Sunday, especially for those with multiple teams.

Greg

Any chance of Stats getting around to fixing the problems with the lifetime standings? Even if they just fix the calculations, that would go a long way toward making them meaningful.

Nobody wants the Lifetime Standings PERFECT more than me, Scott, trust me on that. I'm not even sure why any of the calculations are off. I will send to STATS again as I've done each time someone has noted the miscalculation and hope this gets corrected soon.

One programming note that was pointed out to me: the 12-team leagues have ALMOST the entire pitching list on one page. The last 3 or 4 free agent pitchers will appear on Page 2.

For the 15-team leagues, everything looks great.
