Can anyone tell me if there is a way to look @ Lindy & Kevins winning teams (rosters/draft) last year?

Thanks Steamers... it seams kind of weird that he would get Albert in the 4-hole. Are you sure of his draft slot?

Yes, but don't forget this is year 2009. It's the year when Kemp could fall in the late second round.

Hanley, Wright, Reyes were the first three picks taken ahead of Pujols.

short memory. Pujols had rumors of elbow issues still from spring training. If i remember correctly, he went later than that in some drafts

Would be interesting to see what his team looked like on the last day of the season. To show how important FAAB moves are. Based on this draft I assume he made some really good free agent pickups during the year.

I wish someone had a HQ book from 2009 so we could see what his "projections" on this draft team are and maybe people will finally understand that it's not just the draft that wins leagues.

Pujols/Kemp is a great start tough.

From today's Wall Street Journal:

Fantasy-baseball owners complaining about not getting a crack at Albert Pujols because they don't have the first pick should calm down. According to data culled from 1_296 leagues on CBSSports.com, the team with the fourth pick in the draft won 142 leagues in 2009, the most of any spot.

First of all, we all know who plays in Sportsline. No offense to whoever plays there (I have), but the typical owner in CBS leagues is someone who would select a closer with the first round pick. And if those stats include the free leagues...oh boy

Second, CBS leagues are 12 team formats, so the chances that any spot draft wins is 8.3%. The 4th slot won in 2009 in about 11 percent of the leagues, which is not a big sway from average.

Pujols/Kemp is a great start tough. He had to pick up a lot of value thru faab. Unfortunately, only his league members have access to transactions. But you can see that the following qualify from mini busts (considering where they were drafted) to complete busts. That's 12 picks or over 30% of the draft! Goes to show how important FAAB is.

I think Lindy mentioned picking up Zobrist when he was reviewing his great year but can't find that post.
