FAAB Software

Post by JaserD » Sun Jun 06, 2010 2:43 pm

For the 2nd time this season, what I thought I had saved as a FAAB bid in Main didn't go through. I've left an e-mail through the FanBall contact us form with details, but wondered if this was just me or if anyone else has had this issue. I suppose it's possible I didn't save this particular bid (was the 2nd of 2 bids)...or the first time ths occurred, but it's getting pretty frustrating. I like the FAAB listing /sorting software, but the process of bidding and saving these bids is way less than user friendly.

Obviously a bid that didn't get processed isn't showing up and that is the question. I wrote the bid down and I saw it. Coulda sworn I saved it after not seeing a bid under the same circumstances earlier this year.

Do a copy of your FA bids and then paste it into another document and save it. Then compare your results.

An acknowledgement of the question from Fanball would be nice.

But I don't know any other explanation than the bid wasn't saved. It says whether you saved the bid or not right on the page and if you got back to your FAAB bids later you can see all of them that are saved. Again, I'm not sure what I can say but if your Bid History doesn't show the bid price you thought you had saved then it wasn't saved. Sorry, I know I'm not helping but I am acknowledging the post/problem.

Thank you for the response Greg. It's possible I didn't save each time, but just in case I wanted to bring it up. I would suggest looking at making the process a bit more user-friendly next season. Email confirmation of saved bids or something?

Or a "Your Active Bids" block on the homepage right-nav. Anything would help, I agree.

No your not the only one. I got burnt the other way i deleted my bid, but it still went through. Sucks losing Jenks that way since i needed saves, but i asked tom and he said they only do what is saved which i can tell now is incorrect. I just wasnt going to make a big deal.the move i made didn't make sense since i need saves, and i dropped him for someone i cant even remember now.

Carl, I'm sorry but your statement is not correct. No bids have gone through that were deleted. If a bid has gone through that means it was saved. The system has been working perfectly in that regard since Week 1.
