my mistake..live scoring and live update mean the same. What I meant was anytime there was a tie in one of these categories, the team listed first in the category for live scoring was always ahead the next day when the actual stats were run. Maybe it was coincidence, but it always worked out for me.

Trust me, I feel the passion from John and others who want this corrected, but it's a request we'll have to make from STATS for 2009. It just wasn't something that could get done immediately upon request. Sorry.

OK, John is commenting upon a decimal point. How about a complete screw up? Here is the most recent "live scoring" overall from Las Vegas League #9:

Now live stats are 100% incorrect !

My season stats show as 2-5 with 1 run and 4 rbi. Two days to go and the system completely crashes?

The first game today has started, and the live scoring is (still) all screwed up.

Perhaps it was a bit much to assume that STATS could have functioning live statistics for the last weekend of the season.

It is nice that they modified the set lineup feature, even if the original wasn't broken, and no one asked for, nor wanted, the new set lineup system. It's just too bad that they couldn't get the important things done correctly.

I blame Zaleski. STATS was trying to get batting average, WHIP, and ERA out to the nineteenth decimal place. :D

STATS Error?

Post by KJ Duke » Sat Sep 27, 2008 7:49 am

I called STATS directly. After they transferred me into voicemail (their fantasy support department), then they hung up after I was transferred back to them; on the second call I got through to someone in fantasy customer support.

Their response, "The NFBC ?", "What is that, can you give me more information on which league you're in?"

But I'm sure it's just my eyes deceiving me because according to their corp website: Accuracy, Timeliness, Flexibility, Customization and Client Service is what they're all about! Obviously.

Accuracy: STATS is its own source of data. With our network of sports reporters covering every pitch, play, and down from the press box at each game, combined with our exclusive triple-checking of data, STATS offers unparalleled accuracy. STATS is the official statistical resource for the NFL Players. Television networks, Major Sports Web Sites and Magazines and even professional and college teams themselves use STATS as their source for in-depth sports statistics. You can, too.

Timeliness: The closer to real-time delivery, the more valuable the service. And the more efficient your operation becomes. We offer a wide range of delivery times designed to meet your business objectives and fit your budget.

Flexibility: Want season-to-date and last week's files for all players? No problem. Do you need player names sorted by last name first? We'll take care of it for you. Our goal is to deliver the data you need in a manner which will make your organization more efficient. We achieve that goal by being flexible in our offerings. Is there a special statistic you'd like us to provide? Let us know.

Customization: STATS does not just dump a flat feed on you and make you figure out how to handle it. We create custom files to allow our data to drop directly into your software or databases. Plus, we can deliver the information in a manner that is most convenient for you, whether it be via FTP or e-mail. Just let us know.

Client Service: We're here when you need us and ready to answer any questions you may have. In fact, we have a dedicated support person on staff just for you.

Yes, all you have to do is call when you need them ... 847-583-2100.

I phoned STATS as well. The gentleman explained that this problem had been escalated, and while he couldn't give me a time frame for resolution, he did indicate that the problem should be resolved by the END OF THE WEEKEND.

Can someone with Greg Ambosious' e-mail please send him a note in case he is not checking the site this weekend. I once tried to call stats and got the same response as KJ, but it is not our job to take care of this anyway. Greg needs to talk to his contact.

KJ, congrats on your comeback.

Is this going to affect the NFFC too? I suppose that would be fixed by Monday night, as well. Why bother at all with the website; they could just mail us the results.

Worst case scenario...revert to the last day they had everything perfect, and post that...and put "pending games beginning Friday, September 26th on..."

They must have everything backed up.
