Tokyo games and the Sunday straggler...

Post by baseballweenie » Tue Feb 17, 2004 2:57 am

OK, this may sound like a silly question, but online leagues are handling it in different ways.

And, for the record, I am aware that the rules state "The NFBC regular season will extend from Opening Day of the MLB regular season through the final game of the regular season.", it's just that "Opening Day" has taken on vague meaning some years.

Do the two Yankees/Devil Rays games, in Tokyo, count this year, in NFBC?

And, since I'm asking, what about the single US game (Red Sox/Orioles) being played on the Sunday prior to the first Monday of the 2004 season?

Thanks!

Yes, all of those games will count. We will address that as we get closer to the draft, but the bottom line is that everyone will have to set their starting lineup the week of March 29-April 4 to take those three games into consideration. Then lineups will be allowed to be altered for the week of April 5-11. Anyone you plan to play from those four teams must be in your starting lineup for that early week, easy as that.

Again, we'll remind everyone about these early games at the draft and after the draft and I don't see this being a problem. But those games will DEFINITELY count.
