Lineup still invalid

In NY#4, there is a team with an invalid lineup that is accumulating stats. I posted as much on Monday and Tom said he fixed the problem. It appears this team moved Nomar from the SS position to the bench without a corresponding activate. Although Tom said he corrected this by being very kind and activating Nomar after the 1pm deadline, Nomar is still on the week 1 bench. It appears he was activated for week 2. Could you at least get him into the week 1 lineups. It just looks bad that they have a 7 man bench. Will I get the same consideration in week 15 if I made a similar error? Apparently the STATS software does not care if lineups are actually valid.

I don't know all the facts, but if I team forgets to submit a valid line-up, they should NOT accumulate stats for that week. No mulligans for that. Please clarify what is happening here. Thanks.

There is absolutely no mulligan here, Gordon. The team in question had Nomar Garciaparra as his shortstop as he doesn't have a backup shortstop. So his lineup had 22 starters and Garciaparra was listed as inactive, but unfortunately for this team he REALLY is inactive. He has a legal lineup, just one which has a player on the DL.
Thanks for caring, though.

Oops, I didn't read Confused and Upset. I actually thought Tom Kessenich had put a response on this thread after Viper posted this on Monday as Tom found the team in question and just made sure Garciaparra was active, which he is. So again, I appreciate Viper alerting us to this situation, but the team in question has 23 players at all of the required positions, one of which is inactive. Nothing wrong with that, just not a good way to win the $100,000.

Does this mean we can have an open position if we want? This team does not have a SS in their active lineup even though they have one on their bench. I'm not sure just why they put Nomar on the bench but they did. I sort of thought we had to have 14 active players even if one of them was on the DL. I admit to being a bit confused on what is a legal lineup. And Nomar is not active in week one but Tom made him active in week 2.

I guess my own question is answered. I see that this team is accumulating zero stats for the week. I had not looked closely at the standing details and forgot that zero stats pretty much means a 15 in ERA & WHIP by definition. The process to not allows stats with an invalid lineup does work. The sad thing is that my team is barely ahead of them in the weekly standings.

If I'm following this correctly do you mean to tell me if I mess up my moves monday morning and inadvertantly forget to activate my reserve C for the DL'd C I just put on reserve - whoops I catch it monday evening, no players I have active accumulate any stats for the whole week ?? Wow that's brutal. Is there any flag that the site shows that makes this easily seen ??

Quahogs, an error message will be displayed if you submit an illegal lineup or have an illegal roster.
