Position Eligibility (additional ones this week)

Post by viper » Tue Apr 27, 2004 1:29 am

This is the magic week when teams reach the "20 games played" barrier. That also means that a number of players will gain additional eligibility. I trust STATS will be on top of this but fortunately they have most of the week to get the process down. My only such player is Klesko who has 19 games in the OF thru Monday.

Not that it would effect my team, but it is possible that some player would hit 20 on Sunday and that player's owner would want to shift his position for the next week's lineup.

You always have to anticipate potential problems.

I expected no less from you on this matter, Viper. ;) STATS is aware of the 20 games played rule and you can rest assured that as soon as your player reaches eligibility at a new position that he will gain multiple position status. Thanks for the heads up, anyway.

our record of games played by position updates overnight though, so don't expect to login during the 4th inning of their 20th game and be able to slide him over. if someone hits it on sunday, expect to make the change on monday.

In actually only care that it is right by Sunday evening before waivers are processed. Klesko hit 20 games in the OF last night. When I look at my team it only shows 1B. When I go to the Set Lineup link, it only shows LF (not 1B) next to his name but then when I check the drop down menu for actually setting my lineup is has 1B, CI and UT. I presume that this eligibility change is in a transition but it does appear that things are happening. This is a good thing.
