Case #1:

I have two FAAB bids:



1. Add Berkman for $20, drop Sosa

continguency - Add Beltran for $15, drop Sosa



2. Add Jeter for $18, drop Kent

continguency - Add Beltran for $15 drop Kent.



Assume Jeter goes for $30 and Berkman for $35. Also assume I am the only person bidding on Beltran, so I win. Which player will be dropped, Sosa or Kent?



Case #2:

1. Add Berkman for $20, drop Sosa

continguency - Add Beltran for $15, drop Sosa



2. Add Jeter for $20, drop Kent

continguency - Add Beltran for $15 drop Kent.

Case#1 and Case#2 are similar except for the Initial bid on the losing primary request.

I'd say Sosa in both cases. The way I understand the rules, your 1st bid will be processed in its entirety. In both cases, you lost your primary but would have been awarded your contingency bid, in both cases releasing Sosa. The system will then move on to Bid 2 which in both cases would be a nonevent under your scenario.



That's how I see it anyway.

Not quite the way I understand it.



The first bid they process for a league is the one where the most dollars were offered, such as Truby last week. All unsuccessful bids for that player are then removed. They then continue on looking at the second highest bid in the league and so on. I my scenario, I would end up having two identical dollar bids for the same player. One would be processed and the other would not. I am curious how they decide which to use and which not to use. It could be the order of my bids but everything I have heard to date indicates that does not matter. So far, I have reduced my dollar amount by a single dollar but I would prefer knowing what will happen.

From STATS: "Sosa would be dropped in both scenarios. The first initial bid doesn't have

any affect on which conditional bid goes through. If there's a "tie" like in the scenario below, the first bid entered has to be processed first."

So I guess that if my bids were ordered just the opposite with Kent being dropped in bid #1 and Sosa in bid #2, then Kent would be dropped. It is good to know the rules.
