MIXED LEAGUE AUCTION question?
What happens when you draft a hurt player (ie) Frank Thomas? When can you DL him? Also is there a limit on the # of players on your DL?
Lastly, Is there a time frame for recalling dl players to your roster? For example, you have Frank Thomas and cws activate him from the dl August 1st 2005 - is there a timeframe where you have to recall him?
thanks,
Corked Bats

MIXED LEAGUE AUCTION question?
Follow up question.
Regarding MIXED LEAGUE DRAFT RULES... There is plenty of mention regarding Bids and I understand that, my question is...FREE AGENTS? Are there free agents in this league? If so can I pick them up without a bid? If I do pick them up do I have them on my roster right away or is there a waiver wire?
For example, I add Miguel Cairo Saturday Night, will he be on my roster Sunday morning (obviously stats would be for the following week).
Lastly, which players would be considered free agents and which ones will be bids? If I drop Jorge Cantu to add Miguel Cairo, will cantu immediately be a free agent? or will other teams have to bid on him to add him?
thanks,
Corked Bats

MIXED LEAGUE AUCTION question?
Corked Bats, the free agent process is nothing at all like an ESPN league.
If you want a player from the free agent list, you need to submit a bid from your allotted free agent money (each team gets $1,000 for FA bids). There will be a deadline each week for bids to be taken (i.e. Sunday nights at 7 pm Eastern). At that time whoever bids the most for a particular player, gets that player and the amount of money is subtracted from his free agent budget.
It is all in the rules, just check it out.

Corked Bats Corked Bats, the answers given below are correct. There is no DL. There is only the reserve roster. You can carry as many injured guys on your reserve roster as you'd like without exceeding the reserve roster limit as long as you are able to field an eligible active roster.

MIXED LEAGUE AUCTION question?
So there is no "free agent" list? EVERY player that you acquire has to be bid on correct?
This is for the mixed league auction-Vegas.
Thanks

Thanks I'm not sure I understand the question. You have $260 to bid on your active roster. Then there will be a draft to fill your reserve roster.

You get $260 to fill up your starting positions.
Then you DRAFT (with no money) your 7 man bench to get you to 30 roster spots.
THEN during the season you get $1,000 to bid on any available player weekly. You HAVE to bid at least $1 to acquire a player from the free agency pool.
