if we are doing free agent pickups before the season starts, how will you break the ties for tied bids? rule states: 1. team lowest in standings, 2. team lowest from previous week, 3. coin toss. since there wont be any standing you are going to coin toss every tie in each league? how is that going to work? i suggest not doing pickups until after the first week of the season to avoid this problem in the future. triple a

There are very few ties. Coin tosses will be quite satisfactory.
With the draft 2 weeks before the season starts, it's unreasonable to have to field a team for a full week without having a chance to replace injured/demoted players.

Artie, any FAAB ties this Sunday will be determined by the order of the draft in each league. In other words, if two teams bid $1 on a prospect this week and they were teams 12 and 15, team 15 would get that player. It's the only time we do this and we did this last year as well. I will add that to the rules if it's not in there already as I thought it was. But STATS is certainly aware of this and will implement it this week only.

It is good to see something positive for wathcing ARod et al go off the board before we later picks got to pick. Hope this drives the early drafters bids up .....
