just a quick question about free agent pick-ups. Does a player have to be on the active major league roster to be able to be picked up?
thanks for your help

Wo-Jo-Howitcz,
Here's how it works. At the Draft and Auction you could take any player @ any level. So, if a AA player is taken and then dropped he remains in the Free Agent Pool for pickup.
All other players(meaning those not on a roster after the Draft/Auction) must be activated onto The Major League team before they can be aquired. The Free Agent pool is frozen at 5:00 PM PM Sunday. No more first time players will appear. The FAAB deadline is 7:00 PM. So, a player brought up to the big club on Sunday, who was not already on one of teams in your league might not be listed in The FAAB pool. If he's not there after 5:00 PM on Sunday he won't be avaiable for pickup until the following week.
Hope this clears it up for you. Please acknowledge.

so in other words, anyone who was picked up at the original draft remains in the pool of eligible players all year regardless of their status with their own club?
thank you for clearing this up for me.
how does the league determine tiebreakers when the same $$$ amount is bid on the same player?

Ties are broken by place in the standings. The lower-placed team wins all tie-breakers.
