I was looking at the Lifetime Standings and noticed that in some instances a person who had a higher rank in both years compared to another is somehow ranked below the other person. How is that possible? How are the lifetime standings determined?

How is that possible? How are the lifetime standings determined? These are being updated and should have been finished by now. Basically we are using 300 as the basis and each year a percentage of that total number of teams will be multiplied to your finish. So 2005 will be 1x your overall placing and 2004 when we had only 195 teams will be 1.54 times your overall standing. Add those two rank points up and that will determine your lifetime standings. In 2006, we'll do the same thing based on the number of teams and our basis of 300.
This hasn't been calculated correctly yet, but I've asked STATS to do it and we should have that up shortly.

Greg, An item that I think would be interesting and fun to see is if you could add a column to the life time standings and add an asterik there for each year that someone has won a league title. For example: Tom Jones won a league title each of the last two years so that column would show ** for him while Bob Smith won a title the first year so he gets a *. Those with no league wins to their credit are blank. Just kind of a quick way to see who the league winners have been. This only applies to the regulat NFBC leagues as the rest don't come into play here. Fun to see who the high folks are in the standings with no wins etc. Should be easy to do. It would make it fun once the leagues are announced for the next year for us to look and see how our competitors have done in the past.

Yup, that would be easy to do and we certainly have the listings of all league winners on file. Good suggestion.
