So how many different leagues are there?

I see 3 different sets of rules, 4 different payouts, 4 different team fees and 2 different draft locations. What is going on? Can someone please just list the different leagues based on the amount it costs to enter? I'm pretty confused. Thanks!

There sure seem to be a lot of leagues out there but it really isn't impossible to follow - it just seems that way.
If you look at the the Prize link from the main page, you see four primary groupings.
(1) The National Fantasy Baseball Championship with the $1000 grand prize is the main event. It drafts in four places on March 18
(2) The $1250 & the $650 Auction Leagues are also held on the weekend of March 18 but on Friday so that people can compete in the auction and main events.
(3) The Ultimate drafts on that weekend but I can't recall which day but it will not conflict with other weekend drafts.
These drafts are at the four sites and are live, that is, not online with a computer.
(4) The Satellite Leagues are new this year and are online drafts held on various dates in February and March. They are the next evolution to this event. Costs vary and so do prize lists.
There are four sites for the March 18 drafts not two. Fees vary based on what you want to enter but only the main event has the mega-payout.
I must admit I haven't read the rules for events I don't participate in. I am competeing in just the main event, a Satellite league and a special Magazine league created by Greg. I am pretty sure they all use the same set of rules but I will verify that this month. The rules have changed a little over the the two season but having played both years and been involved in discussion about rules changes, I guess I just know them and why the were out in place. Examples are the 400 innings ptched minimum and the mid-week roster adjustment based on players unexpectedly going on the DL.

Thanks! actually, i tend to agree with this bloke. the links on the website could be better organized. (greg - see my mailing for additional details)
IMO to attract new members, the website should not be confusing at all.

We're evolved in three years and we'll do our best to reorganize on the web site soon. Here's what we're offering:
1) The National Fantasy Baseball Championship on Saturday, March 18th. Entry fee is $1,250 per league and we pay top three teams in each 15-team league ($5,000, $2,250, $750). We draft in four cities simultaneously and there's a $100,000 grand prize. We're shooting for 330 teams.
2) Auction Leagues on Friday, March 17th in all four cities. We have $1,250 entry fee leagues and $650 entry fee leagues.
3) NFBC Ultimate League on Sunday, March 19th. Entry fee is $5,000 and league top prize is $40,000.
4) Online satellite leagues are available at $100/team, $250, $500 and $1,000. Draft dates are Feb. 21, Feb. 28, March 7, March 9. League payouts only.
Now, does that help?
