I haven't been getting the daily Email reports for the past few days. Is there something amiss on my settings, or is their a wider problem?

STATS just got back to me and they said there was a bug in the system but it has been fixed and all of the reports have been sent out as scheduled. If you're still having difficulties please contact me via e-mail at [email protected]. Thanks.

FWIW, Tom, there doesn't seem to be a system-wide problem here. I've been getting daily reports since the original problem was identified earlier this month.

I e-mailed STATS about your issue Bobby so they should be working on that for you. Anyone else having similar issues, please e-mail me at [email protected] and we'll get it taken care of. Thanks.

My problem looks to be with Comcast not allowing me to receive the E-Mails. They sent me an E-Mail stating, "Comcast has recently made changes to our filters and is now blocking e-mail messages sent from domains that do not have their Reverse Domain Name System set up correctly". I set up an E-Mail address with Yahoo and am using it to receive my reports.

I'm also having the problem, also with a Comcast address. R-DNS really is a standard at this point, Stats should be able to support it fairly easily.

Every concern about these e-mail sends not getting there in the last few weeks have involved Comcast. With Kevin Deckel, we watched his e-mail get sent to him and get put in a separate area, obviously a blocker. STATS isn't sending them any differently, but I'll gladly forward your information to them today Ray. Sorry as the e-mail sends are very important to each owner and we obviously are still sending them out. I'm not sure why Comcast has chosen to block these.

This is the response one of our customers got from Comcast this week:

I understand you are getting an error message when attempting to send to a

Comcast.net e-mail address. Comcast has recently made changes to our

filters and is now blocking e-mail messages sent from domains that do not

have their Reverse Domain Name System set up correctly.

In keeping with industry standards and best practices, any e-mail sent from

an IP address that resolves to a hostname determined to be in Dynamic IP

space will be rejected. When that happens, the following error message will

be returned: "Comcast does not support the direct connection to its mail

servers from residential IPs. Your mail should be sent to Comcast.net users

through your ISP." You will need to contact your ISP with this information

so the server your e-mail is being sent from can be configured correctly.

You can find out more information about Reverse Domain Name Systems, as well

as information for your ISP or Network administrator by following this link:
