I take issue with what Chest said in the other thread, that STATS should take responsibility for their mistakes. The beauty of capitalism should be that we do have choices and when we aren't satisfied, we take up with someone else who will satisfy our needs. It seems that all too often Americans are complacent these days and corporations are less inclined to take on a customer is always right stance because they can thrive despite losses. I further feel that when a customer is paying as much as one does for the NFBC every concern should be handled with the utmost seriousness. I've complained several times that I do not get my totals on the live scoring (on a Mac) and have never been responded to properly and the same is true for my complaints about the lifetime scoring, which continues to seem unexplainable.
All that said, my purpose here is not to bash the NFBC. For those small oversights they've also done a million things well. I've had another hundred concerns that were dealt with very well. One of the biggest things is that they listened when we complained about not being able to cut players and made the freezing rule which is much more satisfying to most. There are many other examples. They give us freedom to express our thoughts on these boards however rude they may be, and that is a pretty big thing for a business to do when it could cost them money, but it is important to remember that they give us a fair shake.
I'll also note that only two guys really seem to handle everything while having very busy writing jobs aside from this and they do a pretty good job of dealing with our issues. It might be logical to complain about Krause's personnel commitment.
The complaints about STATS seem like minutiae to me. I've never had a problem. If you're locked out two minutes early, so what? You should be a little more on top of things than that. The live scoring never had near the amount of bugs that I've seen from a big operation like Yahoo.
Just today Yahoo had Jason Bay hitting or not hitting a homer depending on where you looked and it wasn't fixed even hours after the game. I've usually used the STATS scoring to figure out what is actually correct in other leagues. ESPN is even far worse than Yahoo. I wonder what scoring service those who don't like STATS would recomend. Have you found something perfect?
I'm sure I'm a pain in the butt to the administrators here, but I neirther brownnose nor needlessly bash them and I hope that is worth something in terms of integrity.

I never said anything to the sort- my point was a generic answer of stats said everything is alright is no better- actually worse than no answer at all.
As usual you write about 1000 words that make no relevant point and could have been said in 2 sentences. I bet you reread your posts and say after this one they will really think I am smart this time.
As far as stats is concerned- some improvements could and have been made but overall I think they do a good job. The only thing that bothers me is the whole live stat thing that took awhile to fix, but overall I am fine with them.

Looking back, it was Doughboys that made the customer is never right comment, but I was simply agreeing with it and it was similar to what you said anyway. Don't know what you're getting so worked up about. I think my long windy monologue was more an emotional response to the silly boycott thread rather than intelligent or clever.
Back in April, when I was explaining all the reasons that my teams were going to be better than yours, that's when I was being intelligent and clever (and correct).

Oh I wondered how long that would take first thing the main event is too close to call. Even then I manage an offense- an offense you said would be terrible have I done my job and were you correct?
Sat league- neither team is good but you get all jazzed up about a middle of the pack finish and act like you are still Roto God while winning nothing and probably will have won zero at the end of the year. I still have a decent shot at finishing in the money on 4 of my 5 NFBC teams. How about you?
As far as the Sat league- I did a bad job no excuses. Thought I had a decent little run in me at the end but had some injuries but hey injuries happen to everyone but you because you have a magic formula to predict them.
Please win a dime in this contest before bagging on anyone...

I'm confident that I'll finish in the money in the NFBC. I'm equally confidenty that you'll finish behind me since there hasn't been a single day that you've been ahead of me all year, though yes, the last day is what counts. Also 40 or so spots in the standings isn't exactly too close to call. I've done better so far. Sorry.
It's interesting that you wanted me to join your satellite league to prove who is better and now that it's me (and 5th place isn't a bad finish, 11th is) you're saying, "Yeah, but look at how well I did in the other leagues where I don't have to compete against you." Decide what the measure of a man is and stick to it.
Though, yeah, you can always dream about what you did in 2005.
I am impressed by your offense, I'll say. I stare at your offense and go how does a team led by Hillenbrand and Giles pull down numbers like that and I really don't know, but apparently you did something right. I can't even think of a stolen base guy you have. That is the cat that is killing me.
injuries happen to everyone but you because you have a magic formula to predict them.
Hey, thanks for the recognition, man. You can witness the magic on either of my teams once again this year.

Kevin, just so you know: Each owner selects whether they want the e-mail sends or not. You apparently have two accounts with us with two usernames and passwords (obviously from when you took over your own team this year). On the kdeckel account you do not have the box checked for your e-mail sends and thus aren't getting anything under that account. On your tara account you do have it checked and our records show it has gone out each morning. STATS checked for me and it is going through without any problem, so as long as you don't have an e-mail spam blocker you should be receiving those.
If the e-mails aren't coming, you can contact me personally at any time. If the live scoring isn't working, you can contact me personally at any time. If you have problems with FAAB running too early, you can contact me personally at any time. If you don't like anything about the NFBC, you can contact me personally at any time.
Or you can always recruit another owner to boycott STATS.
