Will the NFBC get a block of rooms at the Flamingo? If so, what are the prices? Code?

With March Madness, spring break, St. Patrick's Day on Saturday and everything else, rooms on that end of the Strip will be hard to find. Book ahead.

It would be a frustrating cab ride, but it's a fun hotel. Excalibur has some deals too right now, around $139 per night on the weekend and it's within walking distance of the Flamingo. Just trying to help.

Greg, I don't see the Excalibur quite that low. It's closer to $160 everywhere I look (still a good price for that weekend). Where did you see it that low? They have waterslides!
It's an older family-style property, similar to Circus Circus. Personally, I'd rather drive over from Sahara and save the money for Brady's poker game.

We almost had Greg sit down for a few hands this year, but I think he was too burned from managing all of the events. Maybe if he delegates a little more as the event grows he'll be able to stay up a little later! ;)

If you can find a good rate on the Flamingo through an alternate site and then you book a room on the Flamingo site (not using the nfbc code) you can make hay with their Best Rate Guarentee which gives 25% off the lowest advertised price you can find. Details are on the Flamingo website.
We held the NFFC at the Excalibur in September of 2005. It's a goofy hotel to get around and filled with kids, but it will do during March Madness. My nephew went on Expedia.com on Wednesday and booked for $139 per night. I'm not sure if it's still good, but I know he took Thursday through Monday there at that price.

Chest, you going to be joining us again in Las Vegas? Glad to have you back. Thanks for the PM on my daughter. I tried to respond, but your PM mailbox was full. Clear it out. By the way, she's doing better every day and with any luck she will be on her feet by late March or April. Tough road ahead, but life is full of those bumps in the road. Thanks again.
I'd be a donation in any poker game, but I know I can take a few guys with me who want to drink while we play! :D Perry, line up a poker game this March and I'll promote it. Brady will play, that's for sure. I'll stand behind Zaleski and drink.

My problem KJ is that I host an event before the NFFC, so I'm there from Tuesday through Monday. I need my beauty sleep by Saturday night! :D But this year I promise to stay awake past 11 p.m.

The cheapest prices for Excalibur I could find were on their website: http://www.excalibur.com/

In addition, they have a lot of package deals where you get back at least $50 in food and casino chips (and a free trip to the spa which could help convince the wife this whole fantasy baseball thing is a good idea). Also, they are opening a new pool in the spring if you're into that kind of thing and even if it's not ready yet, they have a deal with Luxor so you can use their pool, which I imagine is pretty good.

If you don't care to deal with the kiddies, the nearby Tropicana has some good deals that weekend.

Not that I work for Excalibur or something. I'm staying at the Flamingo. Great place to have the draft, btw.

Now if I could just find a good deal on a flight...

Yeah bjoak, the next best deal I found was Tropicana. But the Trop doesn't appear to have in-room high-speed internet, so that knocked it out for me.

Of course, who needs the latest fantasy news online if you're just drafting out of a magazine? ;)

Last year, I actually remembered my highly connected cell phone and got a laptop--and then it never hurts to pilfer off of nearby wireless connections. Regardless, I think the Flamingo has in-room Internet so I'm all set up.

I rented a house in Vegas for 3 days and nights. Thursday-Saturday. It is about 10 minutes from the draft site. It has all the amenities. If anyone is looking for a place to crash, let me know. Private room, private bath. It is about $60 a night.

I hate cigarette smoke. So renting a home is the way to go.

UFO, you rent a room this year? Big John stayed with me before.

Kimo aka Jim Ferrari Jim, I trust that Zaleski will take you up on this offer! He still talks about the great deal you gave him two years ago!
