Grab a hotel in Clearwater- not a bad drive the morning of the draft and you are close to the Phils and Blue Jays spring training site.
Also if you are a Yankees fan the team hotel is Radisson at the airport- Big Dog I mean Big Stein owns it. No A level players stay there but Mattingly, Yogi, Reggie (up until last year), Guidry, Gossage and Whitey Ford (when in town) all stay there. The Radisson at the airport is a lot more expensive than it used to be but still affordable and in a good spot.

Marty I would suggest asking slacker dan aka Dan Satinoff- good guy and grew up in the Tampa area. I love Tampa as a town but I love it for the other areas not downtown. Didn't you finish top 5 recently? If that is the case all hotel rooms within a 100 mile radius is booked.
I see moneymaker and Kevin Deckel are on there way down in 07- sorry no easy money in Tampa- I won in Vegas and finished middle of the pack in Tampa.
If you are a yanks fan- I have some info on a charity lunch they do every year- it is pretty expensive but everyone is there and it is pretty neat. Also try to catch the Yanks on the road still a madhouse but legends is just too crowded.

Actually finished 3rd overall 2 years ago was in same league as Brian Moneymaker came in 3rd by 1 point I do not think Tampa is easy money what so ever Probably tougher based on spring training info first hand So all the hotels are booked lol Thanks again and if I do find that 1 hotel open I might take you up on the info for Yankee luncheon though I am not a Yankee fan Die hard Pirate fan Think Stargell and Clementes son might give Bay some protection

Marty Marty- Bradenton is not a bad ride from Tampa so take in a Pirates game or two. It is about the only spring training site in the area I have not attended- may try to take a game in there this year- I have heard pretty good things about it.

Hey Chest
I saw the Pirates in Bradenton about 5 years ago nice facility Mulling over going for a few days and staying in Clearwater or just coming in Thursday night if I go a few extra days I might have my girlfriend be my co manager which would of course end the relationship on the trip back to NY

Thanks From Jill of our show staff:
If you go to the convention web site
www.tampaconventioncenter.com they list hotels in the area. Our staff is booked at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina that is adjacent to the center according to the web site.

They just built a new Embassy Suites accross the street from the convention center that is nice....you also have the Waterside Marriott (pricey) and the a Courtyard Marriott downtown that are nice places to stay.
