Satellite League Questions

Post by Tom Kessenich » Sat Mar 17, 2007 1:26 am

To those of you with satellite league questions I thought I would address them in this one thread. So here goes:

1. Rosters will be entered soon. STATS has all of the completed drafts and they will get them entered. We've sent them a lot of stuff and they have a lot of other things they need to take care of as well but yes these leagues will be entered soon and before the start of the first FAAB period which is March 25th.

2. Unfilled leagues. There's no way to guess at this point when those leagues will fill. We'll have a better idea next week when we get back in the office and go over everything. So I just ask for a little extra time here for us to get that situation clarified a bit.

3. If you have not receieved a league invite please e-mail me ([email protected]) and Geoff Stein of Mock Draft Central ([email protected]). Please provide your full name and the league you have signed up for. Keep in mind that only leagues that are full have been sent out invites. But if you are in such a league please e-mail myself and Geoff.

Thanks.

Satellite League Questions

Hey Tom-

When do Free Agent pickups begin for the satellite leagues? If I remember correctly, we were able to make FAAB pickups a week or two before the season began last year.
Just when you thought you knew the answer, I changed the question.

I also see my league posted above, but haven't received an email invite for 3/24 @6pm for $250 league? New to this league and would like to check the draft site out as soon as possible. Thanks for your help!

Alrighty, I've received quite a few e-mails, and being backed up already, I won't be able to answer each personally; so, here is the invite e-mail to people looking for one:

If you are new to the site, or need help with your username and password, visit the following link: ****://www.mockdraftcentral.com/forgotpassword.jsp -- and enter the e-mail address in which you are receiving this message.

To make sure your computer is MDC ready, visit the following link: ****://www.mockdraftcentral.com/technologytest.jsp -- it is highly recommended that you do this before draft day.

*YOU MAY HAVE TO COPY AND PASTE THE LINKS INTO YOUR BROWSER'S ADDRESS BAR*

If you need help at any time, feel free to e-mail me back, or contact me directly at the MDC office: 616.363.6306

If a draft isn't showing up, it simply hasn't been created yet. As far as I know, I'm caught up with everything forwarded along to me by the NFBC.

If you have a question, feel free to e-mail me: [email protected].

I am already signed in/up on mockdraftcentral.com for the other league I am in. However, the $250 league for 3/25 is not showing up.

Tom - MDC is saying they are caught up with entering leagues....any idea what the issue is with this one? The draft order has been posted for weeks now....thanks.

Just thought of something - I was a replacement for someone who dropped out - is it possible that I was not added to the league via MDC??

yes these leagues will be entered soon and before the start of the first FAAB period which is March 25th. Tom, I am a little confused by this. Does that mean the first faab deadline will be on March 25 or a week later?

Satellite League Questions

Tom,

A couple of satellite leagues filled up over the past few days. Usually when that happens you send out a message reminding folks to have their KDS set by a certain time and indicate when the draft order will be announced. I know that you are extremely busy right now, but I just wanted to make sure that didn't fall through the cracks. (I am particularly interested in the $250 NFBC Satellite 3 League this coming Sunday).

Thanks,

--- Mike

Guys - I hate to be a pest, but this draft is on Sunday night and I still do not have it setup on mockdraftcentral.com. My other league (3/27) is on there, but not the 3/25 one. Please advise asap. Thanks.

Satellite League Questions

When do FAAB bids need to be in by?

And which day - Saturday night or Sunday night?

I am in one of the satellite leagues that drafted in early May so this Sunday (3/25) is the first FAAB run but the STATS league rules say waivers run "Every Sunday at 01 AM ET" but this conflicts with the main NFBC Rules which say "Bids will be accepted on the league web site from Monday at 3 p.m. ET until Sunday at 7 p.m. ET".

So I just want to understand when things actually get processed and what the bid submission deadline is? It seems like Stats may be set up wrong if it's supposed to be Sunday night.

Thanks.

Matt, here is the info from our Rules section:

8. Free Agent Acquisitions:The free agent system will be a "blind bidding" process for each individual league. Each team will start with 1,000 free agent "dollars" for the season, and will be permitted to bid for free agents on a weekly basis with a minimum bid of $1 per player. No team will be informed of any other team's free agent bids. The team with the highest bid on any given player will be awarded that player. The amount of the winning bid will be deducted from the winning team's free agent dollars. For each winning bid, the winning team must drop a player to make roster room for the free agent acquisition. If a team's free agent dollars goes to zero, that team will no longer be allowed to bid for the rest of the season. No bid will be accepted that is larger than a team's free agent dollars. All bids must be in increments of dollars (no cents). The winning bids with owner's name will be shown after the FAAB bidding period for each NFBC Satellite League league along with the runner-up dollar amount that was offered for each player. The first FAAB period will be held on Sunday, March 25th.

9. Bidding Time Frame:The bidding process starts the Sunday, March 25th and ends at the completion of Week 26 (including any regular-season tie-breaker game). Bids will be accepted on the league web site from Monday at 3 p.m. ET until Sunday at 7 p.m. ET in each of these weeks. If you are submitting by phone, you must submit your bids by 5 p.m. on Friday. Rosters will be updated by 8 p.m. ET on Sunday with the results of all successful bids and starting lineups for the upcoming week must be finalized five minutes before each game every Monday.
