can you have Stats Inc. look into why Joe Saunders is not available as a free agent in our league. I do not believe he is rostered and is not listed among the free-agents

real unsure at this point about the criteria as to who is available and who is not. Saunders had innings pitched in the majors, why was he not available, even though he got send down. Second, not that I would have tried to get Petit, but why was he not made available by 5pm to stats, I guess I need to know what criteria is used for who is and who is not available

Good luck the rest of the way- hope things are well. Congrats on the excellent start in the winners only league.

Bobby, this is from our Rules section. Let me know if you're still unclear about all of this:

7. Free Agents: Any player who is not on a team roster within your league and is on a major-league roster or once was on an NFBC team in your league is considered a free agent for that league.

ok, so since Saunders got sent down on Friday and no one once owned him, he is not a free agent, ok got that, but what about Petit, he started an early game yesterday, why was he not listed yesterday by 5pm, just an oversight or did the Sunday morning callup have something to do with it.

thanks Chest, kind of the way we started last year, but kind of hard to expect the same results 2 years in a row, would be nice to see my team put up a few more days like yesterday. Still have 23 weeks left to try and get into the money

Here's the reply from STATS about Petit:

Even though Petit pitched in yesterday's game the official transaction with him being added to the MLB roster wasn't sent until 8PM last night and players don't get added to the player pool until we get the official transaction that they've been added to the 25-man roster.

This is a rare case and doesn't usually happen, but it is possible. If someone emails us during the day we should be able to still get him added to the FA list before the deadline if it ever happens again, but 99% of the time it shouldn't be needed.
