Greg or Tom,
When does a player earn position qualification as far as stats is concerned? I know 10 games--but if the 10th game takes place say on Monday--can that player be exchanged for a DL player on Friday of that week even though he had not yet earned position qualification prior to that Monday of that week?

STATS will give that player eligibility the day after he plays his 10th game at any new position. So if he played his 10th game on Monday night, on Tuesday he would have new eligibility. If you were able to make things work for you on Friday involving a DL'd player, then yes this player could move to a new spot for you. It works easily and STATS does the work for you after he's played a 10th game. Good luck.

Greg,
Can you check with Stats on Jerry Hairston--he played in his 10th Middle infield game last night but Stats isn't sjowing MI eligibility. 2 @2b and 8@ss ==10 Middle infield --Is this right?

I don't think it works for MI or CI eligibility unless a players plays 10 games at a position like 2B, SS, 1B, or 3B. MI or CI is not a real position.
