HUGE STATS ERROR!

Post by Red Sox Nation » Tue Sep 30, 2008 12:25 am

In my main event a team had his pitching stats count even though he had no active pitchers. He had Gavin Floyd on his bench and it counted his #'s!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully this owner is honest and emailed the whole league telling everyone he should not have the extra point he gained in K's.

This is just unacceptable for STATS. The NFBC is great and I'll be back every year but STATS has to go. There are just way too many instances in the season. They are very unreliable. I use cbssportsline.com for my home league and we had zero issues for the full season.

Did this affect all leagues? If this owner hadn't mentioned it who knows if it would have been caught. It would of decided 2nd place though rather than the game today. FRUSTRATING!

HUGE STATS ERROR!

this has me wondering what other STATS glitches have flown under the radar. how can we be sure the data compiled from the previous 25 weeks is correct?

greg - the integrity of this game is being shot to hell by STATS. you need to hold them accountable for this stuff.

Main Event NY 6 Hang tight. There was obviously something wrong with the way STATS ran things last night. There are other teams where the stats have computed for bench players and thus STATS will have to re-run everything again today. This isn't just in your case as this is showing up for other teams, too. So we'll have STATS re-run everything today. Sorry.

greg - the integrity of this game is being shot to hell by STATS. you need to hold them accountable for this stuff. I feel confident in saying that if there was a glitch like this during any day of the previous 26 weeks that one of our die-hard NFBC owners would have alerted me IMMEDIATELY. Nothing gets past our owners.

This is an obvious glitch that will be fixed today. STATS is working on it now. The integrity of our game hasn't changed as all of the stats for the season will be computed exactly as they should. The hiccup is being fixed and we'll watch tomorrow's results as well just like we always do.

Good luck all and I apologize for the screwup with last night's stats, but I guarantee you we will correct this today and announce when the new standings have been computed. Trust me, we know how important today is and we apologize for computing yesterday's game wrong. We'll get it right.
