DL player swap

Post by mrhambone » Thu May 14, 2009 4:00 pm

Is it true that if I have a player DL'ed in my starting line-up (C. Jackson) I only have one chance to swap in a player before Friday games. Example, if I put in player A on Thurs. morning but I decide later Thurs. I'd rather have player B in I'm unable to make the swap. If that is true, what is the reasoning for this rule?

In effect, after you have replaced the dl'ed player with a healthy player, any change after that would be changing out the healthy player.

That seems more like a MLB rule and not a fantasy rule. Don't like it but it is what it is. Any thoughts on changing this rule?

I don't like having to wait till the end of all the games just to make sure Aaron Rowand didn't run into any walls.

You have made the change for the dl'ed player like the rule stated. Any other change would be replacing a player not on the d.l.

I understand what you are saying, but I think this would be tough for STATS as well.

i agree that this rule cannot be changed because if you swap in a healthy player, then to only find out that player is being benched due to matchups or something. That is not fair that you can now switch your healthy player when everyone else (maybe even having the same guy playing 390 teams) cannot make such a change.

Good rule of thumb is just wait till the last possible minute, just like when setting your weekly lineup. You never know when news is gonna come out!!
