I think I know the answer, but want verification.
If we draft a player in a DC league that is changing positions this season, in the minors, what will be their position eligibility?
For instance, I draft a player who hasn't made his MLB debut, last season he played every game at 1B, but this season he will be transitioning to the OF, what will his eligibility be to BEGIN the season.

Pretty sure it's where he played last year, to include his time in the minors, regardless of where he is projected to play this year.

Every player should be assigned a position by Draft Day based on last year's statistics. In this case, it would be based on where he played the most games in the minors last year. He would earn additional eligibility when he came to the majors and played at least 10 games at that new position.

Thanks, Greg, that's what I assumed. Now how about college players, same thing, the position they played most in college?
For instance, Dustin Ackley played 1B in college, but he will not in pros. Will he start the season as a 1B in leagues where he was drafted and then gain additional eligibility??
