On his profile page he is listed as a 2B, yet as it stands now I can't slot him in the 2B slot on my roster. I kinda need to. Can this be fixed?

According to the eligibility rules he should be eligible as a 2B since that was his position in the minors and what he played in his cups of coffee in the majors.

He's an Outfielder (most games played at a position in the majors in 2009). After 10 games at 2B this year, he'll gain additional eligibility.

The rule you're referring to is ONLY if the player didn't play at all in the majors in 2009. Not the case with S-Rod.

thats the worst determination.

7 games at OF with the angels in 2009

5 games at 2B with the angels in 2009

6 games at OF in the minors in 2009

78 games at 2B in the minors in 2009

I know there is some subjectivity here.

I know there is some subjectivity here. If we were using last year's less-than-20-games rule, he'd be Utility-only until Week 3. :eek:

Consider yourself fortunate! :D

I know there is some subjectivity here. There's no subjectivity on this one. It's most games played in the majors last year, which was OF. He will be 2B eligible once he plays 10 games in the majors.

Sean Rodriguez TB 2B - - - - - - - - - - - Interesting. I can't look at Set Lineup right now (it's locked), but when I pulled up Transactions-->Free Agents-->All Players/2B, the following appear at the bottom of the list:

Figgins, Chone SEA 3B,CI

Rodriguez, Sean TB OF

Beckham, Gordon CWS 3B,CI

It seems that the system is lumping players that are actually playing 2B into the 2B player list--even though they're not yet eligible.

You can't play these three at their new position, but I can see where this would create some confusion.

You must be able to assume that the eligibility of free agents is correct. If I want a 2B, I have to be able to look for free agent 2Bs and know that whoever pops up can be used at that position. This is a fact that cannot be compromised. Imagine spending multiple FAAB dollars on a player for a specific position and find that he isn't eligible there. Also, consider that you may have had a contingent bid on another player which would have won if you missed out on the first player.

Greg's gonna love this one.

I did the same thing for Catchers as I did for 2B

Transactions--->Free Agents--->AllPlayers/C

Guess who shows up?

Here's a hint: his name rhymes with Smeff Glement

Here's a hint: his name rhymes with Smeff Glement I do not see him there or among Catchers, thankfully, this morning. I am looking everywhere. He is at the bottom of 1B and that definitely needs to be fixed. Players who were dropped last week shouldn't be showing up at the bottom. Don't give me any more heart attacks here. This guy has just about killed me these last two weeks.

this does bring up the question of when minor leaguers are called up, will their position eligibility be 100% correct...
