The fine folks at Gekko Industries were able to perform an analysis of the FAAB load of hitters in a 15 team league.



Results:

Total Size of web page was a ridiculous 1,409,824 bytes. By comparison, ESPN's home page is only 412,770 bytes. This translates to the following average download times for FAAB hitters page:



Connection Rate - Avg download time

14.4K - 19 minutes

28.8K - 10 minutes

33.6K - 8 minutes

56K - 5 minutes

ISDN 128K - 2 minutes

T1 1.44Mbps - 32 seconds



Recommendation:

* Reduce the images. The "BID" images (although nice looking) bog down everything when you consider there are over 200 of them!!!



I know this can be fixed because STATS use to loads hundreds of FAAB players in 2 SECONDS.

Too much "stuff" on these pages. Give us the stats how we want it and take all that other stuff off. The PLAYERS EDGE is so annoying. I used to tell everyone how i hated Sportsline and loved the NFBC site and now it's reversed.



I just want to go through players quickly and with the info we all want.
