Just trading FOR Chacon is crazy enough much less giving up Wilson after trading Casey. Perez could not have been that much of a lost cause....and Hernandez....and Wells.
Nuts...absolutely nuts....

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Nuts...absolutely nuts.... Not hard to figure out why they're the worst team in the league --- and then sending him to the Yankees of all places for nothing (I mean Chacon), I guess they're just trying to ruin the league for everyone (that isnt a Yankee fan) since they cant win anyway. Of course the Phils did the same thing.
I wonder if Steinbrenner is offering an exclusive boondoggle to all the execs he's fleecing ... or did he just get them really drunk and take compromising photos?

Better offers for Wilson and Casey came off the table in the last day. Both guys are Free Agents after this year so you can't expect for that caliber of players. However, the O.Perez trade was a shocker. As a Met fan, I'll take it.

This is why I finally instituted a "No Pirates" rule in my local NL league after years of aggravation. Anyone remember Warren Morris? Trey Beamon? Chad Hermansen? J.R. House? J.J. Davis? Bobby Bradley? Well, I sure do, because I owned every one of these stinkers at one time or another.
Jason Bay, of course, is exempt...and Mike Gonzalez. And I kinda like this Paulino kid. No...wait a minute! STOP ME BEFORE I BUC UP AGAIN! ARGHRGHGHGHGHG!!!!
