What a tragedy: ESPN

Below is the text from the ESPN website. They used to be a decent place to play. The cost of entering made the players much more competitive and interested than wastes of time like Yahoo. Now they have revealed their changes for the year and it is sad. Also they reduced their starting requirements to a laughable of 20. I tried a league for fun last night just to see and here is my line up:

Active Hitters:

C Kenji Johjima, Sea C Active

1B Albert Pujols, StL 1B Active

2B Brandon Phillips, Cin 2B Active

3B Scott Rolen, StL 3B Active

SS Jimmy Rollins, Phi SS Active

OF Grady Sizemore, Cle OF Active

OF Torii Hunter, Min OF Active

OF Coco Crisp, Bos OF Active

UTIL Jim Thome, CWS DH Active

Hitting Bench:

Bench Tadahito Iguchi, CWS 2B Bench

Bench Nick Markakis, Bal OF Bench

DL Scott Podsednik*, CWS OF O DL

PITCHERS

P Jake Peavy, SD SP Active

P Francisco Rodriguez, LAA RP Active

P Billy Wagner, NYM RP Active

P Chris Young, SD SP Active

P Matt Cain, SF SP Active

P Erik Bedard, Bal SP Active

Pitcher Bench:

Bench Mark Prior, ChC SP O

Bench Salomon Torres, Pit

Pretty funny huh? Tadahito on the Bench! lol

Here is the text from ESPN:

NOTE ON STANDARD GAME CHANGES:

Those who have played our legacy, pay-per-team Fantasy Baseball game will notice some changes to the standard game. The name change now refers to this game type as "Prize-Eligible Leagues". As the name says they (still) award a prize to league champ, and all teams are Overall Leaderboard and Uber-Game eligible. In future years we hope to expand Prize-Eligible Leagues to allow for more customization.

Roster size - In a move to make the game easier to play, rosters have been reduced from 25 to 20 players.

Espn fantasy games may be the worst run business I have ever seen. How anyone could think the masses want the format they are pimping right now is beyond me.

They also screwed with keeper leagues midstream by pretty much changing everything about them.

I like to think I picked a slightly better set of superstars than the rest
