MIcro-managing Pitching?

Post by Nutty Scrats » Wed Apr 11, 2007 1:29 am

Is it just me or does anyone else try and micro-manage their pitching staff? I thought I learned from last year to leave my pitchers alone but for some reason I'm all ready doing it! LOL From what I learned last year I think it could really destroy you pitching numbers!

I think I really I need counselling! ROFL

Now back up on that ledge to meditate!

What's up Nutty?

I sat Adam Eaton this week because the Mets line up is too powerful. I threw Lieber in his place. A little middle relief couldn't hurt, right?

Eaton got the win, Lieber gave up a couple runs also, but in like 6 less innings!!!

Good luck this year...I'm off to slow start!!!

Hi Poopy! Not much. How's it going? This week I benched Gorzalanny (playing the Cards) and started the Boofster. Who got clobbered at home versus the Yanks. LOL I started playing this game last year and my pitching staff numbers got killed! Hopefully I can learn an early lesson. Also if my main hitters don't start hitting above .200 it's going to be a long season!

Nutty,

I am there with you. Sitting Duke, etc.. etc.. I agree - micromanaging pitching is a real problem for me as well.

I also sat EATON , then he beats the METS,UNREAL.

Atleast the middle reliever i put in has thrown a couple shut out innings.

I sat Eaton too! He's gonna be that guy on my staff that I cant seem to figure out. Next week is a double start week. Do you start him???? He shuts down the Mets but get beat up by the Braves.

Add me to the list. I sat Eaton. Wrong outcome, but right decision.
Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Ahh perfect. I sit Duke last week, he pitches great. This week against a geriatric Giants offense, 8runs in 2 innings...

I think I am going to have an annyeurism
